Foreword To The Book 'Noble & Brave Sikh Women' By Principal Sawan Singh 

Principal Sawan Singh is a blessed author. I feel deeply honoured as he offered me to write foreword to this book.

I was very impressed by Principal Sawan Singh's book, "Thus says Sri Guru Granth Sahib". I was introduced to him through this book and I was highly impressed by his writings and understanding of Gurbaani. I had immensely benefited from it.

I am equally impressed by his new book in your hand. This exemplary effort by Principal Sawan Singh Ji is really noteworthy and commendable, for it illustrates, in detail, the life and times of the Noble and Brave Sikh ladies, their major contributions to Sikh way of life, and their trials tribulations, especially in the wake of the terror unleashed by successively oppressive regimes.

This shall, undoubtedly, have a significant bearing on the future generations, as well as present generation Sikh youth, particularly women. It would provide them great inspiration and guidance to lead a healthy lifestyle, in tune with modern times, while adhering, simultaneously, to the rich and proud legacy of these great honourable women, who were steadfast in their resolve, even in the face of death. This would, also, be instrumental in creating awareness amongst, and an impact on the Western society. All cases in point are historical personalities, none mythological. And lastly and of utmost importance is the fact that the status of womenfolk was installed on a very high pedestal by Guru Sahibaan.

I have learnt a lot from his book. May Satguru give even more strength to his blessed pen so Sikhs in general always feel proud of such Sikhs who connect them to such a unique heritage, which is exemplary in this world.
